If you go to walmart they carry "the complete hunter" Muzzleloading.. Its a good book or better yet, check ebay for it.
Rick Hacker " the muzzleloading hunter" Great book.
The book of buckskinning is another great book.
Im more into reading about mountainmen-fur trade era so im not sure if you're interested in that kind but just incase i'll list a few:

Hugh glass, mountainman Left for dead " Robert M. Mcclung. Thats one of the best books ive read to this day.

Jim bridger, mountainman, Stanley Vestal

Broken hand Fitzpatrick, Shannon Garst.

Thats just a couple i recommend, I dont want to take up your entire post lol.
I'd buy the book by rick hacker first, thats a great book and covers everything from flintlocks to 6 shooter blackpowder pistons to blackpowder shotguns.

Hi Frontier Gander,
That first book that you listed is that by Toby Bridges? I just got one in today from e-bay, very cheap. Are you familiar with the Lyman book? I think it might be calledThe Blackpowder Handbook. It is around $25-$30.00, I was thinking of putting it on my list for my girls. I figured it might be better than clothes that I never seem to wear. If it is a good read.

Its on building your own muzzleloader and i just mainly have to learn about inletting the barrel/lock area. But i also forgot to mention a great magazine: The backwoodsman, Its like $20 a year. Do search on the net for their website. Or even Muzzleblasts

I'm not sure if you are talking about traditional, historical type books or the inlines...But here are a few that I keep in my library...I'm not home, so I don't rememebr all the authors...But if they interest you let me know and I'll get back...

Allen Eckert...."The Frontiersmen"
"Patriots"...AJ Langguth
Osburne Russell...."The Life of a Rocky Mountain Fur Trapper"
Fixfire 5...Great read on Flintlock Rifles
The Diary of Lewis and Clark...Unbelieveable what they went through...

That's all I can remember (have CRS today)...I'll check at home tonight...
