Default 209 primers

Wondering what kind of primers you guys prefer. I have been using the Remington Kleenbore primers for the past year and compared to my buddy shooting the plain old winchester primers and the exact same load ( 2, 50 gr 777 pellets with a 250gr T/C shockwave out ofa CVA optima)it looks like he is getting a better burn with less fouling.Just wondering what you allwould suggest for a fairly clean, Hot primer?

Well I have owned an Encore since the first year they came out and have used only the standard 209 primers in it and never have had ANY problems with them. I never have felt the need to change primers or go for the fancey new breech plugs that use a pistol primer. No need to fix something that ain't broke right?

I've only shot Remington Kleenbore's in my gun (new to ML) and my first comment was about how much crud the primers make. But I didn't notice a ring in the barrel at all. Is all this in reference to fouling where the primer sits, or in the barrel?

I've been shooting the winchester 777 primers this season and have been real pleased so far. Shot the Remington klean bore primers last season and was less than satisfied.
