Shot my 50 again today.

Shot my 50 again today.
I liked the results with the T7 FFG. I have some old (2years) APP FFFg I tried to. These all were shot at 50 yards
I didn't Swab between shots with this round Of APP FFFG. By the 6th shot I had to really push with the short started to get the sabot started. Once it was at the end of the short starter the ram rod pushed them down like I had greesed the barrel.
Here is what I thought would happenafter yesterdays shooting. I am sure I pulled #1 as I was fresh from a nice warm house .
Once I clear an object from the range I will try this load at 100 yards. I think it is going to be just fine though.
I also like the Idea of 80gr. aslso since it takes less powder and has very mild recoil.

Good shooting. Are you leaning to useing the t7 over the app or were you simlpy trying to compare them. I'm thinking about useing the t7 pellets for gun season this year, simply for ease of use, I'm always spilling the loose stuff all over so my loads are likely never exactly the same.

No I won't be useing APP after this bunch is gone. Fact is I won't even buy any more at any price. I used to use Clear shot and loved the stuff because it worked so well. The pellet lawsuit changed the name and I think the forumala and it no longer works as well as I think it should, or keeps well as it clumps after sitting for a few months.
I seem to get good results from T7, a great price at Wally worlds end of season sale and it stores well. No crud ring in the Remington either (lOL lots of blow back.).
Dave do you pre wet your swabing patches? If you do how do you carry them to the range? Fingers get super cold in a hurry wringing the patches out in 23F wind chill.

al, not Dave but you could just carry a few in an empty percussion cap tin, snuff can, or even a sandwich bag. Put a bit of your favorite swabbing agent in the container and let the patches suck it up. You aren't likely to need very many while hunting.

Buy the square, metal ones... not the round plastic offering.

Like Triple Se7en I use an Altoids Candy tin. I also carry an OFF Pump Insect Repellent Spray bottle. In the pump spray bottle I have my swabbing mixture. If I am hunting with a #11 cap it is straight isopropyl alcohol. If I am hunting with 209 primers then it is a 50/50 mix of alcohol and car windshield washer fluid. In the Altoids tin, I have the bottom lined with pre-sized patches (I use bulk patch material and end up cutting my own most the time). Then, I take the projectiels I am hunting with and I wrap each projectile in a patch and lay them in the lined tin. Then I pack more patches around the projectiles. This way the projectiles do not bump into each other, and they are nice and quiet. Now I have quiet safe projectiles, plenty of patches for swabbing rifles and spray for cleaning glasses and scopelens. All of this and my powder charges all fit into my fanny pack/hand warmer.
