Glad you got it working. I had similar problems with Leupold mounts and a Redfield scope on My Win 70. Ended up getting some Burris signature rings with the offset inserts and all is good now. I really like the signature rings. They will not mark the scope and are less finiky about exact alignment of the rings, not to mention the offset capabilities. They work in the Leupold bases and don't cost much more than the Leupolds. I'm working on replacing all my scope rings with them.
