wow i cant belive the barrel didnt explode with that heavy of a "bullet". I got lucky i guess. Over 2000 grains of lead and aluminum. I remember now what happened, Our horses were off to the side of me grazing and when i was loading, One of the trouble maker horses run the other horse infront of me and up range. I set the rifle on its side and went running up to shoo them back down and then i just capped the gun and fired. I did more shooting and i made sure i pulled the ramrod out each time . Im just glad i didnt hurt my baby. They dont make the X-150 anymore [:@].

I went shooting the other day. Loaded 80gr pyrodex, then loaded XTP sabot, then loaded 80gr pyrodex, then.... WAIT A MINUTE! - dumped out the powder now on top of the shot. That rattled me.

As for the ramrod... I'll bet that would have been a very effective whitetail load.
