removed the quick load apparatus

RE: removed the quick load apparatus
I shoot them out of a couple of my rifles. Normally with 80 grains of 2f and a wad under them. They do have some impressive down range power to them. Another bullet you might want to try since it seems conicals will be working in your rifle are the 460 grain or 495 grain No Excuse Conicals. They are still under the legal measurements for any out west hunting, they are very well made, very accurate in my rifles, and even with small powder charges of say 70 grains have tremendous power down range.
I shoot them out of my T/C Black Diamond XR and of course my White Ultra Mag. I have also shot them out of my Knight Wolverine LK-II. I never took the time to try them out of the Knight at long distances but at shorter ranges the accuracy was very good. They are a .503 diameter so they should load good. Of course no one can guarantee that out of your rifle they will shoot good, but they might be another option to try.

No Excuse Conicals?,i dont think I've had the pleasher of knowing them.
this wad that your using is it a felt wad? do you use pore-butter to stick it on when you load? conicals are a new thing to this gun,not that i dont like sabets ,but it all ways P'ed me off that conicals would not work.
now i'ev got a lot of experamenting to do. but i like doing that.

RE: removed the quick load apparatus
Thanks, hope that is will help some of the other to make the choice of removing there QLA.
Some of my wad links:
Wads:
I shoot Hornady 410s with a MMP SUB-BASE, I also shoot a 370 Grain Maxi with
a card wad under the bullet!
My groups wint from 3-4" at 100yds down to 1 1/2 and smaller just by using
the sub-base and the card wad under the bullets. My loads are 90FFF to
115FF, out of my 50.
Some of the WAD links that I have found
http://www.buffaloarms.com/browse.cfm/2,246.html
http://www.sagebrushproducts.com/ShootingProducts.htm
http://www.circlefly.com/
http://www.trackofthewolf.com/categories/tableList.aspx?catID=2&subID=37&styleID=11 8
Some of the more expensive " Veggie" wads are made from:
Vegetable fiber gasket material engineered to resist high heat & compression
and water resistant.
Or you can make your own with some heavy card stock and a Gasget [Arch]
punch.
Hope some of this helps!
