That varies from Wal Mart to Wal Mart, State to State, region to region, and season to season. You could expect to pay anywhere from $169.00 - $340.00 for the Omega Z5.

If you can wait till after the BP season in late Dec, you can get some rediculous deals. I paid $169.00+tax for my Omega Z5. If you have to have a gun for this season, you are going to pay close to$300.00+Tax. I would see if I could use a loaner for this season and wait to buy. Most BP guys have more than one BP rifle. They are like potatoe chips. You can't have just one!!!

I got mine for $109 at a Walmart in NH and with just a lttle paint and a swap to a better set of sights I think this will make a great brush/bad weather rifle or a loaner/backup piece.

Nice camo job.
I agree! Very nice job on the camo, Pittsburghunter! That made a nice looking gun, especially for the price you paid.

Sure, it's the third one I have done and it is very easy to do even for someone like me who can't draw a straight line.

To start with go to your local Walmart and buy 4 cans of their KRYLON Special Purpose camo paint. Colors I use are khaki, olive drab, flat brown and flat black. Make sure when you go to use these paints you shake them very well I shook them hard for about 3 minutes and in between blasts this helps avoid runs and gives more even coverage.

If you notice behind the rifle is a bunch of fake plastic grass and wheat this is what you will use to put the colors down it is a big bunch but you use all of it because after a quick spray of paint you want to use another part that is still dry for the next spraying.

First you remove all hardware from the stock everything! then wash it real well with soapy water rinse real well and let it dry. Try not to touch it with your hands or any type of oily rag until you are done with painting. Paper towels work well for this.

Second decide what color scheme you want. I wanted late fall with dried grass in hardwoods so I base coated the entire stock with khaki. If you want a more summer look I would basecoat in the olive drab and a dark woods I would start with the brown as a base coat.

Third and fun part of this is you now use the fake grass lay it on the stock hit it with the color you want to be the background and quickly pick it up as soon as you spray and do it again in another spot. Add in the other colors as you go and remember if you don't like the looks of an area just spray over it again. Keep it totally random that is how camo works. If you make a pattern it will stand out.

When you are done with the painting and like the look I rub it down first with a cotton rag from a flannel shirt then the same rag with a little alchohol and water to smooth it all up.

I am very impressed with the quality of the KRYLON products.

Our new Walmart super center just opened on the 19th and they havesome in a starterpackage with accessories and they are296.00 and change. The end of the season is when you want to get one and yoursupplies. Just got to be there on the right day. They usually mark everything way down to get rid of it. Triple 7 powder is almost 26.00 a pound right now even at thier prices.
