Default RE: Omega barrel problem?

I read an article about Colorado hunting regs on precision rifle bullets site. This company makes some really accurate sabots like the dead center. They also make conicals and they may be worth taking a look at to solve your problem. This is the main site. You can call them and maybe they can give you some advise since they specialize in bullets and testing.

This is the conical line.

Heres the article on Colorado they cover.

Here is more info from precision rifle and the main reason (some) not all T/C guns won't shoot conicals accurately

Finally talked with T/C today. He didn't really ask me too much. Basically, just said send it in and they would check it out.

This past weekend, I went out one last time and tried some additonal combinations with the small primer conversion kit. Almost nonexistent crud ring, so that was good, but no real improvement in accuracy (2-3 inch groups at 25 yards). However, took my brother's gun and tried 90, 95, and 100 grains 777 with 405 grain powerbelts. All combinations were basically touching at 25 yards, didn't shoot farther than that.

At least that tells me that it IS the gun and not the shooter.

I will keep you posted

Please do and good luckwith T/C resolving your problem. I bet you get a new barrel and it shoots well. Good luck also with your elk hunt this fall.

Happy Hunting, Phil
