How many of you have succesfully shot sabots with a 1:48 twist barrel?

I have two rifles with 1-48 twists that will shoot sabots. The rest of them will, but not very well. All you can do is try different ones. Keep them low like 300 grains and lighter is what I have found works best for me.

I have, all day every day from my 1/48's - but I do need to shoot 45 cal bullets 300 grain or larger - can not get a lot of success from lighter bullets.... or 44's for some reason...

1- CVA, 2- TC's and 1 Lyman Trade Gun...

My TC New Englander seems to like .44/240 XTP's. I have tried others with mixed results. I shot a .40/235 Precision QT one time,it went through the target sideways.

My old 1-48" now belongs to my grandson. In order to keep recoil light for the youngster, we have developed a 45/50 139 gr..451revolver roundball in a black 45/50 Harvester sabot using 55 grains 777 FFF.
