Austin Halleck
My brother bought a usedAustin Halleck muzzleloader and we tried it out
we used harvester sabots and 44 calsierra 240gr bullets with 80 to 100 grains
of ffg black powder and could not get any grouping at all.
Any body know what shoots best in these guns.
Thanks James M.

I have two and they are both great shooters... but I do use .45 cal bullets...
I am thinking if you bought it used - no mater how clean the bore looks - clean it - clean really well all the way back down to bare metal.
Just as an example - I shoot 100 grains of loose T7-2f with an MMP HPH-24 black sabot and a 300 grain Speer or Hornady bullet at paper. This combination really works well for me...
