That's what i was thinking. If a person buys the XPB Barnes san the sabot they have the ribs on the side. Would have to help grab the sabot. I know there is a word for the ribs on the side of the bullet too. In fact, I was going to order the XPB in 250 grain for that very reason.

I hadn't thought about the bullet slipping in the sabot under the rotational forces of rifling. So far, the only sabot I have tried with the Barnes Expander (other than the rod busting tight ones Barnes provides) is the Harvester - and it worked great. Not too tight and not too loose. All of my rifles are T/C guns. Good groups. Haven't tried the crush rib sabot with the Barnes Expaners; and probably won't. Harvesters are perfect.
