Again I think it's the plastic stock that ruins the Omega for me.
As one of our posters says repeatedly, "Life's too short to hunt with an ugly gun!!"

Pittsburghhunter,
I don't think you're nuts, but maybe it's because I think the way you do
To me the newer model guns have "no character" and the Scoutis very pleasing to the eyes. The fact that they don't make the Scout any longer, makes it even more desireable.
Don't get me wrong, I still like my Encore's and Omega's but they are not as fun to look at and fondle....IMO
If I were you, I'd put some money down on the Scout to hold it for you. If your gun dealer wouldn't go for that, then I'd look at trading, only if I didn't have the cash to spend. You can always buy another Omega, even though it'll cost you dbl. what you paid for this one.
Your lucky that I don't live closer to you and know who this gun dealer is.....you'd have competition for the Scout

Thanks but not up my alley. The one I was looking at had a very nice walnut stock with a light finish to it.

Naw i don't think yer crazy, other than an omega being easy to clean. Inlines just are not my forte, i found that out after i sold my 54 cal. Renegade to buy a Blk. dia. I went out and bought a used Renegade 50 cal. and a new with papers warranty Grey Hawk 50 cal. because i love shooting the caplocks. Firestorm too, i had to have a flinter![&:]

I just want to know where I can buy an Omega Z5 for $109. There are none to be found near me for less than $269.
