I had been untill I retired been buying as a group with the sportsman club since I was shooting sporting clays a bunch. I stopped shooting when they went to automation throwers which jacked the price up per round by $10.00. And the biggest reason is I couldn't get past that 34,35,36 per round hump.
I can still order thru them but they only order twice a year.

I've been using the kleenbore primers in my Knight
in my cva and in my omega. I shoot pellets both
pyro and 777. Guess I've been lucky, always lights
off, no matter what the weather. And here in West
Kentucky it changes all the time. The only misfire
I had was with the knight but was using win.
primers at that time. I do get some crud ring, very
little, but I do have to check my breach plug!
And I swab between shots with 50/50 isop. &
w/w fluid. My wife will tell it don't matter what it is
if it can be used for hunting/fishing I gotta have
one. Good shooting God Bless...

I've been using the Winchester 209's marked as ML primers for about five years now. They seem OK to me. I also triedsome Federals early on (actual shotgun primers), and they were the very devil to get out of the nipple recess! Needless to say, I now use thesein shotgun shells only.....

theres a way you can test your primers to see just how hot they are by sticking your ram rod in the barrel jag end towards the breech stick a primer in the nipple and which ever primer projects the ram rod upward the least is supposed to be a cooler primer i tried this trick with win 209's fed 209A's and cci 209's. win 209's and fed 209A's were so close i really could not notice a difference in height when the ram rod was projected the cci 209 is deffinately a lighter primer where it had a extremely noticeable difference in the height of projection of the ramrod it was a few inches lower then with both the win 209's and fed 209A's. ive experienced the crud ring with win 209's and fed 209A's and with the cci 209's I get little to know crud ring. im gonna have to look for the ML specific 209's and give them a shot.

From what I read, on another site, the Win 209 primers that were marked for muzzleloaders were the exact same as there regular 209s, just charged more fore them. They are now supposed to come out with one that is actually made for muzzleloaders. I guess they got alot of static for charging more for the 209s they marked for muzzleloaders when there was no difference in them.

To All

If the ones you have do not say "Triple Se7en Primers" on the front. then you do not have the new Winchester primers.
