Another one down with a shockwave!(no pic)
I shot a doe(100lbs) with my ML this weekend. I have been worried because the fist one i shot was a complete passthrough and I don't think it expanded. Well I bumped my powder up to 110 grn. The shot went in behind the last rib and came out in front of the opposite shoulder. She only went 20 yrds and collapsed. The damage was great. I have found a load I'm happy with. I'm shooting the 200grn shockwave pushed by 110 grn pyrodex. I get good groups out to 150. I havn't tried farther though. Good luck

Sound like you have a great load and it is nice to hear that the 200 grains Shockwaves work so well on deer. I intend to shoot them next year when doing field hunting. I might go to something heavier in the thick stuff but I always thought that would be the ticket in the fields...
congratulations on the doe. Then 100 pound range ones are good eating for sure...

i used 250gr shockwaves 100gr. 777 loose powder. shot a 125 lbs doe in the neck. the bullet passed through. but the deer droped right there. i also shot a small buck same set-up. struck him behind the ribs it also passed through,he went about 20yds. both shot at about 40yds. never found the bullets. but the deer were both dead. i think i'll stick with this set-up for now. jmtcw.

Congrats on the doe good to hear the shockwaves
did a good job. I'm working up a bullet/powder combo.
to shoot the 250gr. shockwaves out of my new
Omega. I've stillgot some range tweaking to do,
maybe a different sabot but definately going to
try and stick with the shockwaves. Again fine
shooting.

Gratz on your Doe!!
Like others have posted I also have been shooting 250 Gr Shockwaves with 2 pellets of 777 in my Omega.
I have decided to test some other loads and one of them is the 200 Gr Shockwaves, primarily because I may have the potential or should say the possibilityof taking a 150 yard shot. So I am really happy to hear about their performance on game, Thanks!!
Others on the short list are the 300 Gr Hornady XTP and Barnes MZ Expander in 245 Gr Spitfire. I will post later this spring when I get a chance to get outdoors and try them out.
