Default 245 ballet, 100 gr. BM3 at 150 yd beats my 7mm Rem Mag

In Taylor index.

My 7mm Rem Mag has a Taylor Index of 17 at 100 yards.

A .50 Ballet propelled to a muzzle velocity of 2050 has a Taylor index of 22 at 150 yards. And not bad trajectory (see below)with over 800 ft-lbs to 150 yds. I love ballets for practicewhere use them to reduce powder and bullet costs. My nephew is beginning to gain interest in MLing and I am thinking the ballet may offer a lower recoil load to cut his teeth on. Only, I think I would go lighter on the charge.

Would a Ballet retain any sort of accuracy over that much charge?

TKO, hmm....seems to me you kill an elephant with a 2x4 very easily. Plug 3.8 in there forcaliberand a velocity of about 20 ft/sec on a good swing.

"A Taylor KO Value of 33 with a bullet that weighs 3000 grains, a velocity of 20, and a diameter of 3.8."

Ah figered wate on the lite side so az ta be conservative.

I don't know. Like i said, I think I would reduce the charge.
