Default Sightron scope

I finally located and purchased a SightronI 3x9x40 mildot scope for my Omega
Everyone who carriesSightronseems to be out of stock, even the links listed in other posts are sold out.
I ended up buying ausedone off of Ebay for $75.00 + shipping.
The guy had just listed it with a buy it now price, so I scooped it up.
His ad reads "like new" but everyone has a different opinion of what like new is.
From reading the warranty on Sightrons web site, It should still be covered under warranty if there is a problem.

Many scope warranties areto the original owner/purchaser only. I checked my Sightron Warranty and it says, to the original owner and you must have proof of purchase. So I believe you would not be covered. I have the same scope except I do not have the Mil Dot. I really like the scope. I think you will be happy with it.

Cayugad, I emailed Sightron regarding their warranty on the scope and their response was
" The warranty follows the product, not the owner"

that's good to know.. My Sightron Instruction Manual states;

Sightron Inc., will repair this product or replace the product at Sightron's sole option,
free of charge (except for a $7.50 handling fee) for life, from the date of original purchase,
in the event of a defect in material or workmanship. This warranty is extended only
to the original purchaser. A purchase reciept or other proof of date
or original purchase will be required before warranty performance is rendered.
a great selling point for the scope!!

No need to.. I believe you and have no reason to doubt you. Besides, I am the original purchaser and have the reciept so I am covered both way. Also I have no intention of getting rid of this scope. In fact if I purchase another scope it will be another Sightron or a Mueller.
