Ibelieve inthe keep it simple stupid principal. Hence I use the film food wrap stuff and a rubber band on the muzzle and used to use the leather flap over the breach area but have since switched to bees wax since I have many pounds of it.
Wasp nest and dryer lint to keep the powder from asorbing anything like patch lub too.Simple and always have one or the other on hand. Like the candle comes in handy if ya need to start a fire.

I have personally used the Kap Kovers, and I love them. Very waterproof. Easy to remove when the time comes and serves as an absolute safety (not sure I would trust a tire cap cover) Try it, you will like it. With my 54 caliber renegade, I use the cap cover and muzzle mitts.
