Help with a load combo for my .45 cal Super Disk!
What are some suggestions for ht e .45 cal super disk. Last year I shot 4, 30 gr. pellets with 180 gr. Knight Red Hots. Anybody have any suggestions? I see that alot of people shoot a heavier bullet with less powder? Thanks for the help!

Since it is last year's model I assume it has a 1:20" twist vs the newer 1:30". Try some NoExcuses conicals in 460 grain with about 80 grains of Pyrodex P loose powder. The are .451" in diameter and should be just a bit underbore in that rifle. Shoot fouled and see how it goes. They will pack PLENTY of punch.

Try 110 grs. of pyrodex select and a 225 power belt HP.Shot very well for me last year, took one deer at 155 yds dropped in its tracks. You can see a group I shot using this by clicking on the link below, one is with the Knight 45 disk and 2 are with the Encore 50 cal

Herman, thanks for that reply in the other thread. Seems to me you like light, I like heavy. Hard to argue with any of your results though. Try Herman's suggestion!!
But Herman, how do you measure your powder? Just throw a volume or do you refine it with scales?

I used to measure it and then weigh it but anymore I just
measure it with a powder measure. But always use the same one I have found slight differenses in different powder measures, but really haven't checked to see if there is a difference in accurcy, which I don't think there is very much if any.
