Scope Recommendation
My buddy has a new T/C Omega with all the bells and whistles. He's looking for a scope and isn't sure what to get. He wants to limit the $$ to about $100-150. Any recommendations?

RE: Scope Recommendation
The Burris Fullfield II 3x9 with ballisticplex is a good scope. It uses 2 springs to stabilize the inside tube instead of one. It is clear, accurate, and has a lifetime warranty. My friend swears by them plus you can use the ballisticplex feature for long shots. It even comes with instructions on how to use it for a muzzleloader. Some companies are selling them on ebay new for about 149.00 to 159.00 depending on who is selling them. No bidding on most just buy it now. I believe these were the package deals that came with a free spotting scope or binoculars and they are selling them seperate. Just have him go to ebay and type in Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40 scope. Bought mine there and it is great.

Bushnell 2-7x32 Legend
Nikon 3-9x40 Pro Staff
Sightron I3-9x40
All of them I have seen for under $150.00 and they are all great scopes. He might also want to look on E-Bay and see if he can pick up a used Leupold or Burris or such.. Sounds like he will have a nice set up.

Just as important as the scope is the mount and rings. I highly recommend the Talley one piece mount and rings. This mount and bottom 1/2 of the ring is machined out of one piece of aluminum alloy. It is custom made for the Omega/Encore muzzleloaders. The cost is $49.99 from Talley and he will ship to your door within 3-4 days. Very solid high quality mounts that look great on a muzzleloader. The URL is below.

I mounted a 3X9 Nikon Buckmaster scope purchased on Ebay for $132.00 and love it. The Nikon Prostaff 2X7 is another great choice.
Good Luck

I got the medium which fits my eye perfect. When I called Talley I spoke to Dave Talley himself about this. He recommended the medium height with a 40mm objective scope. I had just enough room to put some Butler Creek scope covers on it.
I used Locktight on the threads connecting the bases to the barrel, but Mr Talley said thatLocktight won't work on the aluminum so just tighten them down snug and they won't back out.
