This is my first muzzleloader and the Hornady SST's are the onlybullets I have shot. Since they are all I know, yeah the jacket fitting the bore tightly makes it a little tough to get it started, maybe I just need to work on my technique. As far as they shoot, I am amazed how they shoot. Superb accuracy. It shoots far better than my 12 ga. slug gun with Remington's new and improved 23" fully rifled cantilever barrel.
The lock-n-loads have better trajectory for long range shots than the standard SST. I think it is the wad/jacket design, because I shot the same bullet.
