RE: TRADITION
I received one as a Christmas gift last year. I like it very much. I have not had the chance to try a variety of bullet/load combinations, however I plan to rectify that next spring. I use Hornady 240 gr. XTP MAG's with 2 - 50 Gr. Pyrodex pellets. The gun seems to like the combo very much, although it is hard loading. I didn't have much trouble sighting it in, and was able to take a nice deer just a couple of weeks ago. I think the gun would rank at the lower end of the scale as far as price is concerned. But I think it is good value for the price. Hopefully others will post their comments for you as well.

RE: TRADITION
heinz57 - I got the Weaver bases and detachable rings/mounts from our local mail order store. They work just fine.I'm sure your local retailers would have the same thing. Also, I called Traditions and they sent me the screws to fill the holes when I removed the sights - no charge. Give them a call.

Try the Cabelas pine ridge 2.5x7x32 muzleloader scope for $69.99. It is clear, has postive click adjustments, and about for inches of eye relief. Its a nice scope for the money. http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712&id=0031466 215811a&navCount=1&podId=0031466&paren tId=cat200004&navAction=push&catalogCode=I F&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat200 004&hasJS=true
