Disc Elite Deal
Found a deal on knight rifles at xpressguns.com - email Dan. I just ordered and it should be delivered tomorrow a QR version Knight Disc Elite DL706C Composite stainless barrel .50 caliber for $233. The guy also threw in a knight soft gun case and a pack of the red primer discs. Doubt that this can be beat for a deal, lol. He also has the .45 camo version ($240)and the disc extreme version about $300. Super nice guy to deal with so far. I'll update when i get the gun.

I have the exact same gun. First off don't get worried that the action rocks a tad in the stock. I is supposed to be free floated. The gun shot well, but I have the stock fitted more tightly with the action and it still shoots well. But probably a waste of time getting it fitted.
My guns like barnes expanders the best. Something you might think about buying is the power stem that comes with the .52 cal extreme disc. Boy that thing works great with loose powder. I got wonderful groups with 130grloose 777. I got tired of finding 50gr 777 pellets.

Got the rifle today - it is NOT the quick release bolt version, but for $225 for stainless composite, with the free knight soft gun case - what the hey!!! I'm going to call knight and ask what the difference is between them and see if they will upgrade it for free or a small cost. The guy wasso cool,he threw in a pack of the red primer discs for free also. He added 3% for the credit card, but thats OK also. Total price out the door to me was about $231. Great deal in my opinion. Can anyone tell me what scope basesit takes. Thanks. Pete

Bigcountry.. I tried a set of the Burris Quick Release and did not have very good luck with them. I was wondering. Do you think because I had a simple set of weaver style bases instead of the Burris bases that this could have caused the rifle not to return to zero everytime I put the scope back on?

Never tried that style only the leupolds. Youcan still be off 1/2MOA with the leupolds. ONly other style was a set of badger/ARM's tactical quick releases which were right on after removing but they toped over 200 dollars and not made for ML's.

RE: Disc Elite Deal
I have set of Weaver type rings that claim they are a quick release type?? They have worked before on other rifles and they have been OK. I'll probably try them first. I think a detachable set of rings would be the way to go since I'm going to have to clean the bolt area.
