Black Powder In Canada?
Did anyone ever fly blackpowder into Canada? I have a trip to Saskatchewan this fall. I was wondering if anyone ever had a good or bad experience doing so.
Thanks for anyones help.

Can't answer your question per se; but here is a link to the Firearms Centre in Canada. It also has a link to Natural Resources Canada who control the importation of explosives, etc. I think you can bring up to about 17 or 18 pounds of black powder into Canada, but don't quote me on that. Hope the links/info help. Hope also you don't find all the rules & regulations overwhelming. As a Canadian, I've gotten used to all the hoops we have to jump through with our gun laws. Don't like it but I've gotten used to it.

You can buy Goex, Pyrodex, 777 up here. Don't spend a zillion $$$ on Hazmat fee's flying that crap here. If you are going on an outfitted hunt - get you guide to pick-up what you need. That goes with primers, etc.
Where abouts you huntin'?

Flying into Saskatchewan you will be landing in Saskatoon. This town as a Wholesale Sports that will stock what ever you need (usually) and might save you some cash. There are others stores that will stock it but Wholesale has a web site that you can price it out on.
