Adequate loads for calf moose?

Yes a calf up around 300 is quite possible. Looking into my photo album here where i have the weight of each animal along with a picture of the 3 bull calves i have taken it reads 204, 208 and 212 lbs. That is hide, head, guts removed and bottom of legs sawed off. So if i was a betting man i would bet all of these calves were over 300lbs on the hoof.

well i will admit then that i must be wrong with my figures then, i just know that they are hard to move around even with two people, me and my ol man had a tough time liftin the twin calves we got two yrs ago into the back of the vehicle. LOL

here is the 2 point i got in Nov 04 hope it works

Yes it is kona, i have taken a few moose and several deer with that rifle. My bro bought a new rem model 700 7mm rem mag that he didn't like so he swapped me for the savage. Got the trigger set and the gun worked more than fine for me. I came out smellin like a rose in that deal.

Yeah, I think you got the better end of the deal. Never really liked the look of a 99 as much as a 336 or a 94.
