Heres my mulie

That buck looks about like my first buck. It had quite a large body, but not much for antler mass. Pretty good eating too, which, honestly was a surprise to me! Congrats on a nice buck!

Thanks for the repleies guys, I saw some nice ones with the bow but you know how that goes sometimes. When holding out for a nice trophy its a chance you have to take and then before you know it the last weekend of hunting season is upon you so you lower your standards. Several years ago I ended up eating tag-soup too, how in the hell does a person go without filling a deer tag in Montana? By being too choosey. It sure ain't from not seeing deer as I see them in my yard just about every day. But the"re my pets as they come right up to the kabin here and have a couple salt licks out so I can watch them. Sorry didn't mean to ramble on, The forum was getting kinda boring and have heard enough about the 270s, thanks again guys, Bobby

Just one more thing, yes it was a very big bodied deer, about the size of two full grown whitetails. When I hung him he was 9 ft in length from antlers to its feet. I don't know its exact weight but after I dragged him back to the truck I believe it weighed around 1500 lbs. Bobby
