Default RE: Hunting aint hunting anymore

I agree with everyones opinion that a High Fenced hunt for any supoosed to be wild game should be put in a different book and that the reward is not in the trophy, but the experience that you get out of the hunt. I have been raised in the suburbs of Kansas City and have not been accustomed to hunting alot. My family loves the outdoors and shooting, but i only picked up hunting about 4 years ago, and although i find it hard to find places and time to hunt. I take the hour or more drive it takes to get out of town and to a public hunting area. I have luckily had some good friends who allowed me to go with them on deer and upland hunts, and will be going with them on a public land hunt in western KS in 2005 for muleys. But other than deer and upland hunts with them, i'm on my own, so i search out for the public land here in kansas and enjoy every minute of my hunting. I dont really know what my point is, but i have been disadvantaged as a hunter being raised and living in the city, but i still only want the hunt that means something to me. My trophy or hunt is more important (no matter how big it is) than the rich guy who buys a trophy. And although he might get in the books and i wont, that still doesnt take away what my hunts mean to me. I'd just rather forget about the books and focus on my own hunts.
