Hillbillie, I just resent it, I am so illeterate on this thing and they want me to send pictures. When I try to turn the computer on the disc thing comes out. ?
Ironranger, your right, there are some good folks on here and some well seasoned hunters that we can all learn from. It doesn't take long to find out whos well seasoned and those who are just full of B.S. and/or just looking for a debate. If you do make it out to Montana I'll be more than happy to share my campsite with ya. Good luck this season and keep it safe, Bobby

HB, hope to hear a good story after the hunt is done. Sounds like things may come together for you.
Bobby, good luck to you also and I'll help you post the pix!!! Here is one of me looking a little rough after a week of chasing muleys.

That is what keep em' standing there so I could get a shot. That buck was saying "Wow, look at that ugly dude" and then Boom. He was laying on his back. Works everytime!!

Hillbilly hunter,
You talked me into it,maybe.Give me some dates you plan on going,I will see if I can make them work.I do have some family that come down and hunt also.
If I can't go and you get a elk I'm only phone call away.
I don't know much about that country, other than it's rough and hard to hunt.I do have some freinds in the Jordan country and I can talk to them and see about any private land avalible with elk on it.Also I know there is some blockmanagement there also so you better get a map from FWP.
Hey Bobby give me a wave as you drive by, your going right by me.
Give'em heck and have fun.
See ya BBJ

Back from Iraq for 2 weeks and i spent a week of it out in 700 archery hunting elk. I have lived out there the last 3 years hunting elk. I would not hire a guide. Like the Harris place. Not worth it. Depending on the size of elk you are looking for. I seen 28 bulls in 7 days. I didnt get one, but got close. Seen on 380 and one 360. There will be alot of hunters opening day in the willows( the 700 side of the CMR) But if you go out there they kill alot over year. My father has his second rifle tag for 700 in 3 years. Anything over 340. I didnt get to go with his this year, but sometimes. But i personally dont think a outfitter is worth it. If you hunt hard for over a week you should get a nice one. Weather helps. Nelson coullee all the way to Germain coullee is really good. If you Need more info email me at [email protected]. I got a few spots i can help ya with. Good luck.

MTELKSNIPER:
Is it better to bow hunt that area later in the season as far as people and the bulls being more into the rut?? I've heard that the 3 week in Sept is usually good. I'm heading out this Nov to chase muleys in that area and can't wait.
