Default NM Elk Bugeling?

Hey Guys, I am going to NM for my 1st Elk hunt and am wondering if I am too early to hear the bugeling. I am also worried about the heat. Looks like it will be in the low 70's the 2nd week of September. What do you guys think? Thanks for your help.

Default RE: NM Elk Bugeling?

They are already starting to bugle. I was in unit 15 this weekend. Missed a 6 X 6 and had 6 diffent 5 X 5 come into the waterhole I was at. They was bugling on my way out that night. Usually the get really going first two weeks of Sept. but it also depends on what part of state.
