Looking at the response, the Wind River brand is a very popular choice and I agree, but I would opt for the 10 x 50's with the better light gathering ablity for those early morning and late evening opportunities. Believe me , living in Colorado as I do , and with the importance of long distance glassing in Elk hunting you will be pleased with the added magnification and light gathering capabilities of the 10 x 50's.
