Lemme git this straight. You go elk huntin' alone, an' yer ol' man comes up after you kill yer bull to drink beer an' help you pack the bull out?

ORIGINAL: noway

Nice bull.
Looks like you had a great hunting trip.
Neat looking country, looks like you had to work for that bull. That country looks steep and thick.
Is that a Roosevelt?
Thanks, noway. And yes, it is very steep and thick----lots of fun!
Is it a Roosevelt? Well, now I' m probably going to sound like an idiot because I' m honestly not sure. I know that the elk in the Cascades were transplanted there from other places years and years ago. I' ve also heard that they are actually a cross between Rocky Mountain and Roosevelt at this point. I really don' t know.

Does anybody else know for sure?

i cant tell by any of your picts these are the differences

roosevelt typically have a narrower spread than the rocky mntn
roosevelt are typically darker in color most noticeably on the body (not the head)
roosevelt are found in the rain forests of the west coast

I have never had the chance to view the two side by side so i can only give you this info hope it helps

I just found this map i am not sure how up to date it is but i hope it helps

Right On Huntngirl.!!! Nice looking bull and it sure looks like a good way to wrap up the week by sitting around the fire and just letting it go....
