Bowhunting Mule Deer
I am planning on bowhunting mule deer next season in Colorado and am wondering if you can pattern them and hunt from a treestand like you would whitetails or is it more of a spot and stalk like elk hunting. I thought about buying a climber stand, but only if it will be usable. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

RE: Bowhunting Mule Deer
Mule deer can be hunted from a tree stand and patterned provided they don' t get pressured. Pressure makes them move and go noc very quickly. Spot n stalk is a good option if the terrain allows. For the most part I hunt muleys from the ground and adapt to there movements, i have been very successful doing this with a bow. I prefer to set up in deep transition areas to start. Food and water sources are another good place to get muleys on, just watch the wind and pressure you put on them.
