Colorado does still have either sex tags for muzzleloader. You can get a either sex tag or a cow tag. They are my number one and number 2 choice for the draw. They do not sell muzzleloader tags OTC. You will either have to draw or wait for the leftover list.

When I first started muzzleoading hunting in my native CO the tags were either sex and were good for statewide. You could hunt anywhere and anything wearing elk hair was fair game. Deer was the same way. I miss those days!

I try for 059 which covers 511 for muzzloader. I put 059E as my first choice then the 059F as a second. I draw every other year for the either sex tag and so far got my second choice every year. I love bugling now that I am getting better at it.

May have to keep that in mind. I've been stockpiling preference points for a long time. I've got 20 and plan on cashing them in on a unit 2 either sex tag this fall but that sounds like a good possible second choice if 20 points don't get me unit 2.
