RE: How to judge a record book antelope
You want to look for good hieght, ears are typically around 7" long,so stack the ears together and he' s 14 tall, next look for good curl, that is where the horns hook back, make sure he has at least 2" of curl. Now that makes him 16" .Next look for good shovles, that is were the horns palm out make sure they are at least 4" wide and last but not least, realy good mass heavy horns score well.
I hope this helps, and if all else fails,if he looks like he has another set of legs on his head SHOOT HIM !!!!!!!BBJ
P.S. No other animal will have the biggest case of ground shrink than antelope. They all look big at 70 MPH

Car,depending on what part of Wy. you are going to you might not want to hold out for such high standards. Some areas don' t have a lot of trophy book animals.Check with the local game and fish biologist in the area you plan to hunt and he can tell you what you should be looking for in that particular area of the state.Bring good optics, and bottom line is if it looks pretty to you and you like it then it' s a trophy.Good luck

I am going to be hunting around New Castle. I was out there last month and saw a few antelope in the 14" range. Hope to see them again in my scope in Oct.
