We have some Colorado private land DIY type lease hunts available that would be as easy on the pocket as any hunt for elk. A decent quality guided 2nd or 3rd rifle season hunt in Colorado will run around the $4500 range and that will include all meals and lodging. You could probably get into a DIY private land lease hunt with 6 people for around $1,000-$1500 each depending on how good the property was, + your license of course. 2nd and 3rd rifles seasons are OTC license.
