Any of you folks been doing any deer hunting in Oregon lately?
I have 5 points for rifle deer this year and am considering putting in for one of the units in the Eagle Cap or for the Steens unit.
Have any of you hunted one of these units in the last couple years?
How was your hunt?

I haven' t been to the Steens for years. Very beautiful country. I do know a couple guys who hunted there last year though, and they both filled their tags.

There is a preference points book that you can buy that will show you how everybody did in each unit. Also you can go to the ODFW web site and look at harvest trends for each unit, this should answer most of your questions.
