Sounds like you got lucky then. MT has some antelope, I think mostly out east, perhaps the drive to casper is just as far for some MTanians as eastern MT would be? and WY I think would have a better chance at producing a whopper. Though MT is no slouch either.

Makes you want to draw tougher/more limited areas when you hear stories like that. Or hunt later in the season....I know WY has a long antelope season.

Archery hunt them or hunt them on private land. If you are hunting them on public land it is always like you said.
