For me it is Leupold. I have 10 rifles topped by Leupold scopes and have not had a problem with any of them. This was not the case when I bought those " bargain brands" . Besides you cannot beat the guarantee!

The Leupold VariX-III or a Kahles is hard to beat for the money. If those are too high, you might try the Weaver Grand Slam series. This scope probably is the best value around in terms of price, build quality, features and optics.

I have a Leupold Var XIII 6 x 20.
Very clear at all distances. Excellent scope.
Something inside it broke a couple years ago and I had to sent it back to be repaired. I got it back in about 3 weeks good as new.
Even though it failed on me once I would still recommend it.
If I was going to buy new scope now I would buy one with the ballistic plex reticle for long range shooting.
I know Burris has this available in their scopes but their Signature series scopes are very heavy.

I have Leupold' s on all my guns, except for a 300 WSM on mine that wears a Sightron 3x9x40. Excellent scope with a really good price tag.
