Where should hunting be headed?

Where should hunting be headed?
Curious what an idea world would be for hunting, and no impossible answer, like everyone would hunt every year for world records, but rather, should states issue less tags and manage for more trophy opportunities? Should every state have some trophy areas and some non-trophy areas? Should private land take over and either pay a trespass or just be the owners land to do as they please? Here in IL it's almost entirely private, out west still feels like you can hunt quality areas on public land, something I find amazing and hope we don't lose. What about states with point restrictions etc...?

Every Area is different.....
My Province hasAntler restrictions season and animal sex restrictions,as well as a general season and LEH..
Game pops are stable and quality of trohies are stable..
But most important of all, in my area of the country,Antler restrictions after a period of time give an area a very highmale to female ratio..
Which is ultimately what you want...
The problem we are starting to face now is whitetail deer in mule deer territory..
Nothing against the whitetail, but whern they breed with mulies the offspring is sterile..
So this is starting to be a concern to hunters, and wildlife managers........
The first thing that has to be done, is find out what animals can coexist with one another without hindering the future ofany species...
Some areas, have to have Sunday hunting ban lifted, to get
their animal pops under control..
Some areas are soover populated, honestly some of you people should be allowed to hunt all year..
Have a 4 month muzzle season, bow season and shot gun season..
DO whatever it takes to get controlled numbers of all species of all big game animals in a particular area first..
Do to the animals, what fisheries do in British Columbia, poison a lake, kill off everything, than throw the fish you want in there......
"Don't forget game have no boarders, so even if ya have to shoot bucks does whatever to get the pop down in an area , more will move in...There might be a chance that they'll be does at first, but over a small amount of time, bucks will wonder in and breed eventually, They'll just be in controlled numbers."
After that then implement than Antler restriction sex restrictions etc..
If you do it this way and shoot everything first, instead of shooting just does and leaving bucks and fawns, you'll hunting quality will improve faster....

RE: Where should hunting be headed?
Animal herds should be managed for the health of the herd, not for trophies, not for high populations, not for hunter success, but for the health of the animal and the environment.
That said, hunting going forward is moving quickly to be to expensive to hunt "somewhere else". Tags are going upwards towards $1000, outfitters are going up (though much of this is their expenses going up while some is supply/demand).
I'd like to see a few changes:
- shouldn't be required to have an outfitter to hunt anywhere.
- some sort of cap on out of state license tag fees
- B&C and P&Y books remove the names of the hunters
- more youth programs
