RE: New Alberta Record Typical Whitetail.....
look at the first couple of pics, there is NO blood in all that white snow....along with the fact that where that deers head should be laying, there is fresh powder. Im calling fake on all accounts.

RE: New Alberta Record Typical Whitetail.....
I received emails on this deer and a lot of speculation. B&C website has not confirmed the story yet but it is now under the trophy watch section. Have to wait and see.
As far as posts regarding the holding of the head. I guided for a number of years and pics with the one hand/fingers holding up the head were common. One way to achieve this is to let the deer freeze up in the desired position. Another was the use of a prop (stick, log, stake, etc). The fact the deers eyes appearpartially closedto me indicates the pics weren't taken immediately following the harvest. It could also may suggest the deer was re-located for the purpose of the photo shoot andmight explain the perfect backdrop. I am not saying the deer is legit in any wayjust merely mentioning it's possible without photoshop!
If legit he is a hawg, mass is incredible!!! Don't know he'd pull a 200" net number but then again I have seen many mass driven deer fool the eye prior to putting a tape on them.
