Bullet selection for moose?
I hunt in eastern Quebec and I use a 7mm Mag. I have been successful in the past with any ammo I used. But, I have been shopping for something different and what I have found is that there is too much selection for me to comprehend all of the differences.
I have been looking at; Federal triple shok 160 gr
Federal vital shoktrophy bonede bear claw160 gr
Fereral sierra game king 165 gr
winchester Ballistic silver tip 150 gr
In the past my shots have never been more than 150 yds but you never know. I know all of these bullets will do the job but what will give me the best bang for the buck???
Thanks in advance,Rodney.

RE: Bullet selection for moose?
the last five moose i have shot i have used winchester 180 gr. silvertips, they shoot good in my gun on paper and have worked well in the field, you may want to give them a try and see how they shoot for you, and they are affordable, i pay 22 bucks a box here in canada at walmart. i also agree that the ballistic silvertips may be a little light for moose.
