Whos interested in swapping a Hunt?
Swap a hunt your choice of bear or Elk or maybe even a lion, for something good in your area. Im in north Idaho, you pay for your tags and your troff and your way here, I help you with the game. Same in return. No money, no charge just hunting!

If you don't mind going a little easterly, Missouri to be precise, I've got
some pretty good whitetail hunting as well as really good Eastern wild turkey. Probably doesn't compare to bear and elk hunting butI thought
it was worth a try. Never elk hunted but was planning to go to Colorado
this fall for otc elk tag around pagosa springs.

The Pagosa area has some very good elk hunting. After the first day go either very high or very low for them. under 7500 and over 12,000. There will be elk in between but the bigger bulls duck out or top out once the shooting starts. There are some real monster mule deer on the very high tops too. I mean monsters. Is 225 typical considered a monster -- yup. If you hit the right mountain you should see plenty of 180 plus bucks and even a few 200 plus non-typicals. Superb ginetics for mule deer there. The elk are pretty good. A few 300s and even a couple 340s Good luck to ya.

turkeyward, sounds like your know pagosa springs pretty well. Thats also
what someone told me when i was out there turkey hunting 2 years ago.
The part about going to lower elevation anyway. I hunted the San Juan
forest mostly around the Piedra River, saw lots of elk and mule deer sign.
as well many animal along the road to and from where i was staying in
durango.
