RE: THE ULTIMATE QUESTION!!!!!!
So, I can't believe nobody wants to answer this one!....I will do mine!
1. Afgonak or Raspberry Island....Coastal Country!
2. Coastal Brown Bears.....the big boys!
3. My brother and my dad....they aren't just family, they are great friends of mine!
4. .338 WinMagSavage Model 116FHSAK w/ a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10 German #4 Dot Reticle scope
5. I would bring my Garmin 60Cxs GPS. I would also equip myself with a nice wall tent with stove. I'm not picky or high maintence...I would research what I would need for the trip and find out the logistics behind it. I would try my first year without a guide....I would want to put in all of the research/education/scouting on my own....it would seriously add to the adventure of it.
6. Two week trip that would include fly fishing on some of the more famous salmon runs. I would go early fall or when the season permitted.
7. The trophy picture would be of my dad sitting behind a 1000lb plus bear that he took with the help of both my brother and me.
I would want to take a coastal brown, it is a dream of mine, but I would be happy just seeing the smile on my dads face with his animal....I would just want to be there to share the experience with him!

RE: THE ULTIMATE QUESTION!!!!!!
It's really fun to see the differences that everyone has when it comes to their dream hunt......one common thing though is the element of good family and friend. Shows the true character of an outdoorsman!

I would hunt Alaskan/Yukon Moose with my father. We would both use 338-win mags. This would have to be a guided hunt, Alaskan/Yukon moose are HUGE. The time would be early September. We would also fish for silver salmon & halibut.
Alaska is a wonderful state, that I may move to someday?
