Actually this is one of two sites National Geographic had set up and
it's hosted by Real Player. The one in Africa is called Pete's Pond. I've been watching it for 2 years. I didn't know everybody wasn't aware of these.

At Pete's Pond I've seen about every animal in Africa, including a couple of herds of Elephants. The one herd had over 80 animals in it. Anytime is a good time to watch. Daylight hours are easier though. There's a 6 hr difference in time from Est. 12 noon here is 6pm in Africa. I've seen Giraffes to Monkeys. If you look at the pond there are turtles and fish as well as 2 big mother Crocodiles in there. I watched one of the Crocs grab a small Springbok one evening.

The other site is at Alaska's McNeil River Falls where you can watch Grizzlies feeding on the salmon run. Quite interesting if you are interested in learning about Grizzlies or their interaction with each other. That cam is shut down right now. It's on during the summer and early fall. But there's a ton of old taped footage that you can look at there anytime.
