I could get by nicely with my .280 for all non dangerous big game... In fact I've used it successfully for everything up to and including Alaska bull moose...
However, since according to the post I'm allowed TWO rifles, I'll include my 9.3 x 62 for those times when I desire a heavier bullet...It would get the nod for moose and elk in the timber...Actually, a .358 Win, .35 Whelen or .338-06 would serve just as well...

For all intents & purposes, the same...except you maybe get an extra 25 yards of effective range out of each due to the slightly larger capacities ofthe case, and I get slightly less recoil.
