RE: anybody fall bear hunting this year
I will be taking my annual trek for a week in mid October here in WVA.
We are not allowed to bait so it is quite the challenge but if there are no bear at the stand it will turn into a whitetail hunt after a few days

I got my first Black Bear this year on Aug. 27.....It was very exciting and unlike any other hunting I've ever done before. I hunting just north of Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was one of the best hunting trips I've ever taking and I will sure be going back.....I haven't got my pics developed from the field but here is one I took w/ the wifes digital yesterday. I had to get him back out of the freezer to admire him one more time. He weighed in at #355 and had a estimated skull of 21in.
I thought I'd add that if anyone was interested in a bear hunt I would recommend Doug Part of Wolf River Bear Baits....This hunt was more than I could have ever imagined and I've already booked for next year. He had had 19 hunters when we left and was working on a 100% success rate. He has 600sq. miles of some of the most beautiful land in Canada. Heres his info....He does not advertise commercially...Doug Park. (870) 857-2942 or email at [email protected]
Tell him that his one of his Missouri Hillbillies sent ya!!
