He shot it at approx 90 yards, with I believe a shotgun actually.

That is a really nice buck.

I took a nice 4x4 around the Princeton BC area in September with my son, Good and heavy but not real wide or tall. I was actually on a weekend grouse hunt with my wife, daughter andson. Around 9amI asked my 5 year old ifhe wanted to go out, and of course he did. Ihad that funny feeling I should have the rifle in the truck. Anyway after 12kms up the mountain,80 yards into the slash there hewas. My son thought that was great. I live in the Vancouver area, but camp and huntall over region 3,5 and 8. The quality of bucks we have seen in the last couple years has been fantastic, lots of 4x4's.

aye its due to the regs. They are attempting to lessen the open seasonon bucks, which in turn will have less smaller bucks shot. in the years to come there should be more and more great deer being harvested.

Kind of wish they would start a similar program for whitetails, but we may lose too many hunters is so. A lot of people would be dissapointed if they could only shoot 4pt+ whites.
