HI ALL,
I BOOKED A MOOSE/BEAR HUNT FOR NEXT FALL, I AM PLANNING TO USE MY 338.
A SPORTS SHOP WHERE I BUY AMMO HAS A SPECIAL ON 338 250 GRAIN WOODLEIGH WELCORE SOFT POINTS. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THESE IN SOFT POINTS, ARE THEY A GOOD CHOICE FOR MY HUNT----ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED

After paying for a hunt , why take a chance on ammo that you are not sure of ?unless you get some good info on that ammo I would stick with a known entity, I've had great sucess with premium Federal .250 gr.

They are a very tough bullet; they are known to retain 90% of their original weight. I would use them if they group well for you. Don't be scared to hit bone. Good luck.
