Default Windy

This is a follow-up to a recent thread about hunt-killers. Several people said wind was a killer for them. Today I was driving home in the bluster and saw no deer where they usually are.

I have never done any good in wind, even when I've been taken to a friend's "hot area" that he did great in last week. If the wind was blowing hard, might as well just stay home and clean my gear or make points with my wife.

I would like to know if anybody has done any good on deer or elk in blustery conditions.

The wind does effect my hunting also. Last saturday evening I watched deer stop feeding & bed down in the timber. Alldue to windy conditions.

I Agree wind is the worst condition to hunt in. The animals seem to vanish.
