Muzzleloaders For Elk-??

RE: Muzzleloaders For Elk-??
Yeah thanks, i am going to give rifle a shot this weekend and see what happens, but most likely i will get my elk with either the muzzleloader or preferably my bow in the late season. The late season is by far my favorite to hunt.
One more tip with the muzzleloader is to shoot bewtween 70-80 % of your max when i comes to powder. I used to load my gun up with 150 grains thinking the more the better, but in reality you get much better accuracy with about 100-120ish. Also check out the PowerBelt bullets, they are the best i have found so far.
Good luck!

Matt--Thanks for the tip!! Every little bit helps. Hopefully this good info will help put the pieces of the puzzle together. I sure would hate to be stubborn and not ask questions & experience many of the trials & errors that can come along with something I know nothing about.
