Sorry i dont know any outfitters here off hand.I just draw a goat tag& go.
One thing i had trouble with was judging distances & animal size ..when theres nothing around to use as references ..i was use to heavy forests etc for hunting.
So if ya can judge distances well it helps & rememeber antalopes are small & fast...so dont hold over the back etc , if you guns is on at say 300 yards . they are small up close & even smaller far away
good luck

I have hunted in the douglas WY area now for Mules and Antelope for the past two seasons without a guide and was successful both trips on private land. I just got one back from the taxidermist last week so it brough back the memories. There is a great herd in that area with some trophies to be had. Tresspass fees were a bit high but the hunts were good - last year we were shut down for about 3 days due to snow on Oct15 (mule opener but antelope usually opens on the 10th so we were done with goats by that time)- trucks were no good offroad - gets pretty mushy everywhere.

The goats are fun to hunt - spot from a distance and stalk don't let them come to you unless you have time to pattern them - or they never will. Always be wary of herds. They always have one posted high that just watches for predators and I have been busted by that one a couple of times because I did not see him first. Also check them out close because some does can have horns (pretty small) - just look for bigger horns and the black cheek patch. Make sure the gun shoots long and flat. Between two of us we have kill shots at 30yds, 300, 375, and 400 over the past two years. We had some wind issues that made us shoot longer that planned for a couple of those but dead is dead. Good luck - I am after elk this year or else I would be back there again. Contact me with any questions.

How do you find private landowners that will let you hunt for a trespass fee? Do you contact them prior or drive around and ask?

Plenty of public land in Wyoming. Don't need no outfitter fer 'lopes. Jus' git a good BLM map an' go. Ain't worth travelin' far in my book. We're lousy with lopes. My season usually lasts 'bout 1/2 hour. Might do it with a cap an' ball next year, jus' to make it interestin'.

======> stone spears & lopes be one heck of a foot race, maybe i could roll down hill really fast
How come no c yotie BBq,s

But some public lands here , others think they own ,& pubic officals forget who they work for sometimes.
